There empanadas are the best hands down.. big and tasty no matter which filling you get.. I will definitely be going back to try other foods.

I have been wanting to try out Parada being that my new job is right down the road and I LOVE puerto rican food. I went in hoping for Ropa Vieja, but they did not have it today. I ended up selecting their Chicken Stew. It came with 2 larger pieces of chicken that also had sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, and green peppers in it. You got to choose your type of rice, which I chose white. Then you also get a side, and I went with potatoes. The broth from the stew was plenty flavorful how I would have imagined it would be. That is my favorite aspect about spanish food. The meal was zesty and pallatable, and you definitely get a good amount of food. The lunch special price I saw online was 6.99 but my total with a can of coke was $9 something.. I didn't dispute it and just went on my way.
The place was very small and dark inside. The woman at the counter that was in no way rude or anything, but definitely didn't give me the warm and fuzzies either. I got my food to go, so it was definitely a quick trip.
My overall thoughts about Parada are: non impressive. Not the best, but not the worst. I don't even think I'm too interested in going back and trying something different. Parada may be okay for you, but I think I'm good without. -

Stopped by here because we were in the area to find a new restaurant. Well, it's not new but new to us; we've never been here before! Perfect spot and there was no way to miss it, located just on 434.
Immediately upon walking in, we knew that they made authentic food. The smell was fantastic and the menu featured several classic Dominican and Puerto Rican food. We ordered Mofongo with garlic shrimp and black beans with rice. Our dish was delicious and there was a lot on the plate so we shared it. We also ordered a Malta with a guava and queso pastry. Did I mention everything is made in house? Even their desserts and pastry!
The attending lady behind the counter was really nice. She knew that we were looking to try something together and made some recommendations. Our food was warm and our shrimp was well seasoned. We used the sauce from our shrimp dish and poured it over the Mofongo! It was so good! We will definitely return and try something new on the menu. This time I'll save enough room to try their flan! -

I really enjoyed stopping by here. The staff and severs were super friendly and the food was excellent. My buddy and i both got the lunch special for $6.99. I went with the baked chicken and he went with the stew chicken. Both entrees were amazing. Tons of flavor and large portions. The special also comes with two sides, so i went with rice and beans and the sweet plantains. The black beans have so much flavor and the yellow rice (with gandules!) is authentic and delicious.
The servers were really friendly and patient with me as i tried to practice my (really bad lol) Spanish. I'll definitely be back soon! -
